In December 2013 LATSPED had implemented a very interesting project.
The project presumed the delivery of air-cooling towers from Milan to Moscow to the «Molodezhnaya» subway station.
To optimize customer’s costs, 18 oversized pieces located in Europe were exported using 9 semitrailer trucks.
In Port Liepaja (Latvia) all 18 pieces were loaded on 6 semitrailer trucks, thereby reducing the number of vehicles and hence the expenditures associated with transportation.
The peculiarity of this project were the weather conditions: during transportation through Europe the traffic was blocked for a week because of the storm and strong wind. It was necessary to abide time and deliver equipment in a timely fashion.
Thanks to the professionalism of the LATSPED employees and despite the unforeseen circumstances the cargo was delivered to the construction site on time.
