Delivery of oversized tanks from Liepaja (LV) to Kiev (UA)

18 oversized beer tanks (dimensions:18x5.60x5.60) – 17 tons each

first lot: 12 special trucks for transportation of oversized cargo
second lot: 6 special trucks for transportation of oversized cargo

Project Description

Between February and March 2009 LATSPED took part in the project on delivery of oversized cargo – 18 oversized tanks from Liepaja to Kiev.

Dimensions of each tank: 18m in length between supports, 5.60m in diameter.

Delivery of oversized cargo was made in 2 lots (12 + 6). Initially the schedule of the caravan route was examined and approved.

Tanks were loaded into our trucks in Liepaja port. Since the cargo was oversized, escort cars and police were required. Delivery was made to the «Slavutich» brewery in Kiev with transit through the territory of Belarus.

Due to the complexity of the route as a result of weather conditions (snow, ice), disassembly of road facilities and the lifting of telephone and power lines (cables) occured.

Nevertheless, these problems in no way inhibited our timely arrival and safe cargo delivery to the «Slavutich» brewery.

Organization and transportation of these beer tanks were highly appreciated by customers!
